The Nurturing Center is a family-focused, therapeutic treatment center for child abuse and neglect. Our mission is to nurture trusting, caring relationships between adults and children. Services include individual and group therapy, art and play therapy, parenting curriculum, children's curriculum and therapeutic classrooms, parent-child interaction time, on-site substance abuse counseling, job training, literacy workshops, lunch and transportation.

Birdies for Charity

Attention Golf Fans!!

The Heritage Classic Foundation has invited the Nurturing Center to participate in the 2009 Verizon Heritage Birdies for Charities Program. Through this program, donors can make pledges towards the Nurturing Center based on how many birdies are scored during the tournament. Last year, there were over 1,300 birdies. The Nurturing Center would receive 100% of the pledge as well as an additional contribution from the Heritage Classic Foundation. What a great way to support the center and have some fun following the tournament next year. Current Needs

We are in need of CHILD PAINT SMOCKS for our children's program.

Volunteer needed Wednesday mornings from 8:00am to 9:30am to help prepare simple breakfast (heat and serve) for children and families. Assistance provided by student interns.
